Liverpool prospect Elijah Dixon-Bonner has travelled with the first-team squad ahead of tonight's Champions League match with Atletico Madrid.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been at the club since 2015 and is a member of Barry Lewtas' under-23s side.

Dixon-Bonner trained with the first-team during an open training session on Monday and was pictured arriving at the Reds' team hotel in Madrid yesterday evening.

Jurgen Klopp named his 24-man squad Champions League squad at the start of last month, though teams are allowed to register an unlimited number of players on 'List B' during the season.

To qualify for this, a player must be born on, or after, January 1, 2000 and has been eligible to play for the club for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday or for a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one one-year loan period to a club from the same association.

Dixon-Bonner made his first-team debut for Liverpool against Shrewsbury Town in 2020, coming on as a late substitute in the Reds' FA Cup fourth round replay win at Anfield.
