The Rice volleyball team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will face the University of San Diego at 4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the first round in Austin.

The Owls (20-6 overall), who went 12-0 during the Conference USA regular season to win the West Division and were runners-up in the league tournament, are in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season. The winner of the match against San Diego (20-7) will face either the University of Texas (24-1) or Sacred Heart University (19-9) at 8 p.m. Dec. 3.

Rice had to withdraw from last year's NCAA Tournament because of COVID-19 concerns.
