Louise Redknapp has rubbished claims that she's in 'despair' over her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp welcoming a new baby with his wife Frida Andersson. 

The singer, 47, who split from the footballer in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, took to Instagram on Friday to clarify her stance on the matter. 

She told her followers:  'I’d really love to clarify that “Louise” is not in despair or anything like it!!'

Louise, who's mother to Beau, 13, and Charles, 17, continued: 'I have my 2 gorgeous boys that I adore more than anything in the world, 

'The best family around me and I’m having the time of my life in my career and with the most wonderful friends that a girl could hope for...

'I’d like to make it clear that I’m in the most positive of headspace and loving my life.' 

She signed off: 'Here’s to all the ladies out there that are in control of their lives and living their very best lives!'

It was previously reported that Louise was 'quite shocked' about Jamie's decision to marry his new wife Frida in a secret ceremony in October. 

The newlyweds tied the knot at Chelsea Registry Office, five months after they announced they were expecting a baby.

And the whirlwind nuptials were said to have come as quite a surprise to Louise as she reportedly didn't know they were engaged.

Surprised: It was previously reported that Louise was 'quite shocked' about Jamie's decision to marry his new wife Frida Andersson in a secret ceremony in October (together in 2016) 

A source told OK!: 'Louise was quite shocked, she only found out very recently. They kept it very under wraps, nobody even knew they were engaged.

'It's very mixed emotions for her, it's difficult because she's spoken quite openly about her regret, she's blamed Strictly quite a lot but, unfortunately, you can't turn the clock back.'

'He wanted his sons to walk in with him but it was a very small affair. She only knew because the boys were there.'

And Louise's defiant message comes after Jamie's new wife shared a heartwarming snap of their newborn Raphael on Instagram on Thursday. 

In the sweet snap, the infant lay in his basket with a traditional Swedish toy from his aunt Sara.

Frida, who is from Sweden, held the soft red horse over her baby as he slept, and wrote: 'Auntie Sara came with the best Swedish toy, a Dalahast.'

A Dalahast is a cuddly version of a Dalecarlian horse which is traditionally a carved, painted wooden statue of a horse.

It could be seen looking down at Raphael with an elaborate, brightly coloured pattern on its back. 

The newborn looked content as his tiny hands poked out from his grey blanket under which he looked snug.

Meanwhile, Jamie also shared an adorable snap cradling his baby boy, and revealed his wife Frida was 'doing well' after giving birth.

Along with the cute snap, Jamie penned the caption: 'Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp we're so in love, mum is doing so well too.

'We can't thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster enough. So excited for him to meet my boys.'

Jamie, who shares sons Charles and Beau with ex-wife Louise, was reportedly 'thrilled' when he and Frida, who has four sons with hedge fund manager Jonathan Lourie, 58, discovered they were expecting earlier this year.
