BJP's Amit Malviya took to Twitter on Monday to suggest that an "all-out war" has broken out between West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee. Malviya is the BJP's co in-charge of West Bengal and a member of the party's national executive.

In a tweet on Monday, Amit Malviya posted a picture presumably clicked in West Bengal's Diamond Harbour parliamentary constituency. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee is the Lok Sabha MP from Diamond Harbour.

The final match of this tournament was held on January 1st of this year.

It is mentioned on the PVC cutout arch that it was put up by "Team Abhishek Banerjee Maheshtala. The description of a Facebook page with the same name reads: "Our Motto is to help The poor across Maheshtala On behalf of Respected Parliamentarian Shri ABHISHEK BANERJEE".

Referring to the picture, Amit Malviya wrote in his tweet: "There is an all out war between Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek. Pictures of Mamata Banerjee, arguably the tallest leader in TMC, missing from posters in Diamond Harbour."

He went further to add, "No surprise Mamata fielded old timers to take him on and used Health Dept to discredit his efforts..."

Here, BJP's Amit Malviya is referring to a tweet by Abhishek Banerjee from January 12. In his tweet, the TMC leader had claimed that over 53,000 Covid-19 tests were conducted in his Diamond Harbour constituency in a single day.

However, the West Bengal government's Covid-19 bulletin states that 71,792 Covid-19 tests were conducted across the state of West Bengal on that same day.

"If both, WB Health Dept run by Mamata Banerjee and data put out by Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee for Jan 12 are correct, then Bengal tested 18,589 people across 41 LS constituencies of which 21,004 tested positive! 113% positivity rate," Amit Malviya had said in a tweet, reacting to Abhishek Banerjee's claims.

Abhishek Banerjee is the national general secretary of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), the party Mamata Banerjee founded in 1998.
