Tamil Nadu tableaux rejected by Centre for Republic day to be displayed in Chennai

Tamil Nadu CM, MK Stalin, said that the tableaux rejected by the Central government for Republic day celebrations will be displayed in all major cities in TN for public viewing.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, in a statement on Tuesday, January 18, said that the tableaux that had been rejected by the Central government will be displayed during the Republic day celebration in Chennai.

In his statement, he also said that the tableaux will be kept on display in all major cities in the state for public viewing.

Stalin registered his disappointment at the state's tableaux not being featured in the Republic day parade in Delhi.

He said that the state had made all the three corrections that were suggested to it by the selection committee but was not invited to the fourth round of meetings or given a clarification on the rejection.

He added that a letter had been sent to the PM about the issue and a reply was received from the Union Home Minister.

CM MK Stalin stated that the rich Tamil heritage in the freedom struggle was the theme of this year's tableaux, and its rejection has caused disappointment.
