Angela met staff, volunteers and visitors at Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in Oldham when she helped them gear up for their five year anniversary.

The centre, which is based opposite the Victoria Breast Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital, provides help and support for anyone dealing with the effects of cancer.

Visitors can turn up without an appointment to access a number of services such as financial advice and psychological support or they can simply pop in for a brew.

Angela said: “The dedicated Maggie’s staff and volunteers provide an excellent support for people during some of the hardest times of their lives. It was great to meet the team and hear about their roles and I also spoke to people who have benefitted from the excellent services available. Maggie’s is a real jewel in Oldham’s crown.”
