A 14-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy Doncaster road.
Police were called to Balby Road at around 12.30pm on Wednesday (August 17) following reports a boy had been hit by a car. The road was shut at the junction with Belmont Avenue as emergency services worked at the scene.
South Yorkshire Police (SYP) have now confirmed a 14-year-old boy has been taken to hospital. No details on the boy's injuries have been released by the force at this time.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 12.32pm today (August 17) to reports of a collision on Balby Road, Doncaster. It’s reported that a 14-year-old boy had been in collision with a car. The boy has been taken to hospital for treatment. The road was closed for some time but is now reopen."
