Police have carried out a drugs warrant in the centre of a quaint market town in North Yorkshire.

Following information provided by the community, officers forced entry to a residential property on Market Place in Richmond yesterday morning (Thursday).

They recovered a number of items relating to drug supply and drug use, including a white powder, which has since been sent for lab analysis. Nobody was at the address at the time and an investigation is ongoing.
