Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford and her professional dance partner Carlos Gu bowled over It Takes Two host Janette Manrara on Wednesday as the pair shared a very romantic moment.

Pop star Molly Rainford spoke to Janette about how last weekend's dance went - which was, pretty well given it topped the Strictly leaderboard.

And new professional dancer Carlos Gu, making his Strictly debut as a pro in the 2022 series, was on hand to give Molly lots of positive energy - before taking her hand in a very romantic moment.

Molly told Janette about the dance at the weekend: "I just had so much fun. All my nerves just melted, it was so nice."

Janette asked: "The waiting time closing the show, your nerves must have been really kicking."

Carlos Gu said: "I did not like it at all, this is the bit I don't want!".

But then Janette asked the pair how it felt to top the leaderboard.

Carlos said: "After seeing her doing a dance like that... wow I was really really proud of you."

Molly then said: "I have the best teacher I think," before Janette said: "Aw, look at them, they're so cute".

Janette then said: "But being top of the leaderboard does come with a little bit of pressure, how are you feeling about the pressure?"

Molly replied: "I am feeling a little bit scared just because I feel like we have set a good bar and there's pressure to keep that up, so. But it does feel good."

The pair were scored 8/9/9/8 from the judges.

Carlos added: "I was hoping for the best. I wasn't hoping for 9s at all, but I was hoping for the best!"

Janette then asked Molly about being a big Arsenal fan, adding: "What's it like being around Tony Adams?"

Molly replied: "It is cool, the same day Arsenal won the derby I was watching it with Adam which was pretty cool."

Janette then asked the pair about the fact they both wore trousers, adding: "That's a risky choice to make because all the footwork is on display so how were you feeling about that?"

Molly said: "I said to Carlos, I thought the whole point of ballroom was that I wear a skirt and hide my legs a little bit so I was a bit concerned.

"This one because it was so fast paced, I felt like once I got it I just had to go with it. Because it was so quick I didn't have time to think about it."

The pair will dance a Waltz to One Hand One Heart, from West Side Story, and as the song played, Carlos leant over and took Molly's hand in his, as she beamed a toothy smile back at him warmly.

"Oh em gee," Janette said. "Look at them they're in character already! I love it, it comes on and it takes over!".

Molly told Janette: "I've been watching it, I love the story, it's so sad though I was crying my eyes out to it the other night."

Janette said: "It's one of the most epic love stories of all time."

Carlos then talked about the technical aspects: "Because waltz is slow, it needs all the footwork to be correct, heel, toe, everything needs to be shown and everything needs to be flowing so we have definitely had a hard time."

Molly added: "This has definitely been the toughest one I've done."

"And she says she has no love with the Waltz," Carlos added. "But just go out and enjoy it!."
