Gupta claimed that when the elections are around the corner, Delhi Chief Minister changes his religious stance as per his convenience. "Kejriwal starts reading the Hanuman Chalisa...when he goes to Gujarat, he starts chanting Jai Shri Krishna," said Gupta.

"Now, AAP minister Rajendra Pal Gautam has attended a programme on Buddhism, where he has defied the presence of Hindu gods," said Gupta.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the BJP leader said, "The cabinet minister of the anti-Hindu Delhi government who insulted Hindu gods and goddesses among thousands of people is not forgivable! Are AAP ministers allowed to spew such venom against any religion?"

Gupta took a dig at Gautam after a video of him attending the conversion programme in Delhi and taking an oath of not believing or worshipping Hindu gods and goddesses along with thousands of others went viral on social media. Gautam attended the event on Wednesday on the occasion of Vijayadashami.

Meanwhile, Gautam has defended himself by claiming that the BJP is anti-national and the Indian Constitution gives the freedom to follow any religion.

To this, Gupta said that Gautam's defense is fictional. No religion gives the right to anyone to disrespect Hindu religion.

"Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal who claims to be respectful towards all religion should sack Gautam within 24 hours," said Gupta.

The BJP leader added that they have already filed a complaint against Gautam and have asked police to probe the role of the organisers of the event. "We will begin an agitation to press our demand for Gautam's arrest," said Gupta.
