MISSING URGE

I can’t satisfy my partner in bed because I’ve completely lost my libido

DEAR DEIDRE: I can’t satisfy my partner in bed because I have lost my libido.

I want to give her everything she deserves but all of my urges have completely gone.

I’m a man of 43 and my partner’s 39. We’ve been together for almost a year. We’re very much in love.

But when it comes to sex, I fob my partner off, saying I’m too tired.

It’s not true, though, and has never stopped us before.

I read one of your answers where you recommended HRT to improve a woman’s libido. What is this and could I take it too?

My partner hasn’t said anything yet, but if this carries on I am scared I am going to lose her.

DEIDRE SAYS: HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) is a treatment to relieve symptoms of the menopause and is designed for women.

Keep on telling your girlfriend you love her. Are you feeling low, or stressed? Both can affect libido.

Or perhaps you are on medication which is affecting your libido?

Please see your doctor for advice if either of the above is true.

My support pack, Reviving A Man’s Sex Drive, will help to get your sex life back on track.
