A road in Barrow-upon-Soar, near Loughborough, was closed by police after a pedestrian was hit by a van. Leicestershire Police confirmed the closure at 4.08pm on Sileby Road, with diversions being put in place along Slash Lane while the road was closed.
Motorists were being asked to avoid the area while they dealt with the incident, with the closure being between South Street and Slash Lane.
A tweet by Leicestershire Police read: "Please avoid Sileby Road in Barrow-upon-Soar following a police incident. Diversions are in place along Slash Lane."
The road reopened at around 5.45pm, according to traffic tracker Inrix. Leicestershire Police confirmed the pedestrian did not have life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

Pedestrian hit by van on main road
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police has confirmed that the incident involves a pedestrian being hit by a van. The road has been closed and East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene.
The pedestrian's leg was injured in the incident - but it's not believed to be life-threatening or changing.
The spokesperson said: "This [incident] relates to a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian.
"It was called into us at 3.28pm from EMAS – location given is Sileby Road, Barrow. Road has been closed.
"Pedestrian has sustained a leg injury, not believed to be life threatening or life changing. Driver was not injured."
