Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton has impressed on his West Brom debut in the Championship.

To the surprise of zero Leicester supporters, Albrighton caught the eye with his crossing and work rate as the Baggies picked up a 1-0 win over Coventry City. The result leaves them fifth in the Championship and Albrighton will be a key player as they push for promotion.

Our colleague Joe Chapman, who covers West Brom for BirminghamLive, gave Albrighton a glowing review in his post-match player ratings. He scored the winger an eight out of 10, naming him star man.

Writing about the loanee's debut, Chapman surmised: "The first 45 minutes - perhaps even sooner than that - reflected precisely why Corberan and Albion viewed Albrighton as the ideal fit to come in and replace the injured Phillips.

"Lining up on the right, where the Spaniard has no end of options, the quality of his delivery was on show early on. It wasn't just with the ball he impacted Albion's game - he was sliding in to win challenges and charging down clearances. Looked at home already."

Plenty of West Brom supporters share that verdict and have been gushing over their new winger on social media. "Another great result, Albrighton looks so good," said one.

"Can I add how phenomenal Albrighton and Chalobah were?" another asked, while a third fan said: "Hugely impressed with Albrighton on debut for #WBA this evening. Always looked 2 moves ahead of most others on the pitch, some clever through balls, superb out wide... what a signing he could prove to be. "

Another noted: "Albrighton looks a quality player at this level," while a fifth fan asked: "Albrighton and Wallace are proper footballers aren’t they?"
