Last year, Leicester was named as the best place to live and work in the East Midlands. The Good Growth for Cities Index put Leicester at 14 out of 50 UK cities, which is compiled using economic wellbeing indicators such as work-life balance, environment, jobs, safety, income and health.
In terms of location, it has easy access to the rest of the country and has a great range of schools and three universities to choose from. In regards to property, the city has an amazing selection of affordable housing and offers plenty for buyers at all levels.
According to Compare My Move, as of October last year, research shows that the average house price in Leicester is £187,449. We took a look at the five most viewed properties in the city on Zoopla currently to see what house hunters are truly looking for.
