There are few subjects, in recent months, that have been as contentious as the Greater Cambridge Partnership's (GCP) Cambridge Sustainable Travel Zone proposals. Informally known as the congestion charge, people across Cambridge and the surrounding areas have come out either against the proposed charges, or in favour of them.
Last week the BBC hosted a debate on the matter, which included four panellists who represented respective political parties, and an audience of 50 people. The event was pre-recorded TV debate at the Perse School on February 3, hosted by the BBC after months of building debate on the congestion charge. The event was called: 'Cambridge Congestion Charge –The Big Debate'
