Netherlands took a trio of golds on the final day of skating in Tomaszow Mazowiecki as the 2022-23 Speed Skating World Cup came to its conclusion.
Jutta Leerdam and Wesley Dijs took gold in the women's and men's 1000m respectively, while Bart Hoolwerf topped the podium in the men's mass start, with Japan's Momoka Horikawa winning the women's mass start in a pulsating finale to four months of action.
Leerdam began a successful day for Dutch skaters with victory in the women's 1000m, edging USA's Kim Goetz by 0.60 seconds.
However, it was not enough to clinch the overall World Cup title, with Japan's Miho Takagi's third-place finish enough to pip Leerdam by a single point.
Dijs then followed up with gold and a new track record in the men's 1000m, as his time of 1:08.52 powered him to victory ahead of Jordan Stolz.
It was double delight as compatriot Hein Otterspeer sealed the overall World Cup gold with the final place on the podium, eventually finishing comfortably ahead of Canada's Laurent Dubreuil, with Stolz taking bronze.
A maiden World Cup gold then followed for 19-year-old Horikawa, who beat out Valerie Maltais by 0.17 seconds to end her season in style.
Canada's Maltais took silver ahead of overall World Cup champion Ivanie Blondin who took third to finish ahead of Netherlands' Marijke Groenewoud.
And Hoolwerf capped a fine day for Netherlands with gold in the men's mass start, inching past Korea's Jae Won Chung by 0.08 seconds, with Italian Andrea Giovannini taking bronze.
Giovannini sealed overall silver with another podium, 19 points behind champion Bart Swings, who earned a fifth title, and fourth in a row, with a seventh-place finish in Poland.
