As voting commenced in other part of Lagos state, voters at Polling Unit 083, Igala Estate, along Isolo-Ejigbo road are still waiting for INEC officials and election materials to arrive as at 12:30pm.

Voters are wondering why INEC officials and election materials are yet to arrive by 12:30pm while elections are almost concluded at other parts of the state.

Some of the voters who spoke with Daily Sun said that it is obvious the action was deliberate to disfranchise voters especially the Igbos living around this community.

Emeka Ogor who claimed to be at the polling unit around 8:30am, said most of the voters especially the elders have to leave in anger and disappointment after waiting for hours and no INEC officials in sight.

“I know they did this deliberately to disfranchise eligible voters to exercise their civic rights mostly the Igbos. They know that it is we igbos that dominate this axis and that is why this nonsense is happening.

“Could you imagine, my brother who leaves in mushin has casted his vote around 9:20am in Mushin. Maybe they are telling us that we are not part of Nigeria that they have to deny us out right to choose our leaders,” he lamented.

However, many voters are leaving the polling unit in anger as they rain curses on INEC officials and government while others said they will wait until the INEC officials.
