The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has expressed confidence of victory at the end of the polls.

He spoke shortly after casting his vote, alongside his wife Salamatu Kwankwaso, at Kwankwaso Malamai ward,  Tandu 1 005 in Kwankwaso town in Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State.

Kwankwaso is contesting against the candidates of the PDP. Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Labour Party, Peter Obi among others.

In the meantime, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has described the elections in the state as peaceful.

Speaking after casting his vote at his ward in Ganduje town in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state, he   expressed delight at the turn out of voters for the exercise and urged them to exercise their civic duty in a peaceful manner.

Ganduje who voted alongside his son, Abba, however observed that his accreditation process was a bit slower.

 He expressed hope that the speed of the device would get better as the exercise progressed.. 

Sunday Sun reports that the polls has been largely peaceful in the state as at press time.
