Says Bvas made process easier, than expected.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has expressed delight on the conduct of the presidential and Federal House of Assembly election, commending INEC on the introduction of BVAS strengthening the smooth process of the election.

Governor Sule made the commendation on Saturday after casting his vote in his polling unit at motor pack polling unit 002, Gudi, Akwanga local government area of the state.

Sule said there have been a lot of aspirations and expectations, concerning the election but the day have come to electing the President, house of representatives and senators.

“From what we have seen in polling unit in Gudi station, local government area, the voting is going so smooth, It took me and my family few minutes to vote.

“I also used this opportunity to thank the good people of Gudi and Nasarawa state at large. For their conduct during the election while appreciating INEC and all the security agencies for how they have made the election to be peacefull.

“From the indication you can also see it for your self that every thing is going smoothly and people understand each other and they understand where to vote” He added.

Speaking Earlier, former Deputy governor of Nasarawa state, Silas Ali Agara appreciated the effort of INEC to ensuring materials get to every polling unit on time, adding that presiding officers and Adhoc team are observing the rules of the INEC and they ensure that voters are queued appropriately to cast their votes.

“Am very happy with what is going on, I know the same thing is going on in other places between Akwanga and budi local government, we have been getting reports the turnout of voters.”

He further stressed that the creation of additional polling unit has helped to decongest the population of the area, “You can see we have about 700 against over 2000 that are actually voting in this unit.”

Agara noted that the only problem he noticed is the lack of awareness of where voters should vote, adding that some of them are confused even though INEC had made proper arrangements in terms of awareness, “but this is rural area most of them are not aware, of the changes but generally the exercise is very good, there is no conflict any where in the local government. Voters have come out to cast their votes.” He said.
