Boe cruises to yet another sprint victory

Johannes Thingnes Boe marked the return to Biathlon World Cup action with yet another sprint victory as he continued his sensational campaign in Nove Mesto.
Streaking away with the overall Biathlon World Cup title, Boe has been particularly dominant in the sprint discipline, winning every World Cup event, along with last month's World Championship title in Oberhof.
Setting off second in the Czech Republic, it quickly became clear that he was not going to let up as he shot clear and blew the rest of the field away on the skis to take victory by 30 seconds in a Norwegian sweep of the podium.
He was joined by older brother Tarjei Boe on the second step of the podium, with Vetle Sjastad Christiansen finishing third. The Norwegians even claimed fourth spot as well, youngster Endre Stroemsheim narrowly missing out on a first World Cup podium of his career in fourth.
France's Fabien Claude was the first non-Norwegian, missing once on his way to fifth spot while compatriot Quentin Fillon Maillet, last year's overall crystal globe winner, back in 14th place.
With a 30-second advantage heading into Saturdaya's pursuit, Boe will be the overwhelming favourite to add yet another World Cup win to his collection as the action continues in Nove Mesto.
