A local property expert and owner of X-Press Legal Services Greater Manchester and Cheshire in Heaton Moor predicts the region’s property market will see a spring uplift from next month.
X-Press Legal Services has seen a 47 per cent increase in product orders from conveyancing professionals across England and Wales since December. Owner, Russell Brown believes this is a clear indication of green shoots within the property market; he said:
“I predicted at the beginning of the year that there would be plenty of market movement to keep conveyancers busy and that remains the case as we head into spring. Property prices picked up in February and even with [Thursday 23rd March’s ] interest rate rise, I fully expect to see the usual spring surge in property transactions across the region.”
Russell Brown also warns that some transactions are seeing delays as a result of changes to legislation making the behind-the-scenes conveyancing process more complex. He advises:
“I would urge those hoping for a summer move this year, to get started now in anticipation of transactions perhaps taking longer than usual.
“I would also recommend anyone looking to buy or sell a home instructs local conveyancers or legal firms. There are so many benefits to regional companies, not only do they have a hyper-local understanding of our local property market, but they can also provide clients with vital insights into physical and environmental factors within our region which can impact on property transactions.”
X-Press Legal Services is an independent property partner specialising in data and e-conveyancing with locally owned offices across England and Wales.
