Together’s donations to Manchester Youth Zone reach a quarter of a million pounds

Following a recent donation of £25,000, Cheadle-based specialist lender Together has now provided a quarter of a million pounds to local charity, Manchester Youth Zone.

With Together’s support, in the last 10 years Manchester Youth Zone has been able to provide crucial assistance to young people and their families in North Manchester. Last year alone, 56 of its colleagues contributed a total of 222 hours of volunteer work to initiatives, such as the Youth Zone’s Holiday Clubs, Takeover Days, and Employability Programmes.

Over this period, the charity has gone from success to success, with nearly 19,000 memberships and more than 340,000 attendees. In addition, Manchester Youth Zone has delivered over a million hours of sessions delivered for young people since 2012, thanks to Together ongoing support.

Amanda Naylor OBE, Manchester Youth Zone CEO, said:

“Everyone at Manchester Youth Zone wants to share their immense gratitude towards Together for their ongoing dedication towards making a positive impact on the community. This latest donation is a shining example of their commitment to helping young people reach their full potential, and we’re excited to continue working together to create a brighter future for young people and families in North Manchester.”

Kevin Fisher, People Director at Together, said:

“We are delighted to be able to play a part in supporting the continued activities of Manchester Youth Zone. The charity plays such an important role in supporting young people and families around Manchester, offering a safe space where they can enjoy a range of activities.

“More than just the monetary donations, it’s excellent to see so many of our colleagues here at Together offering up their time to volunteer. As a Manchester born and based company ourselves, it’s part of our DNA to support the area in any way we can.”
