
Donald Moore, Chair of Stockport B-Corp schoolwear manufacturer, One+all has been named Leader of the Year for the Greater Manchester city-region at the 2023 Northern Leadership Awards.
The awards, hosted by TheBusinessDesk.com and sponsored by CMS and Quarterdeck, are now in their fifth year and recognised the best in business leadership from across the North of England. Awards were presented to 15 business leaders from across the region at a ceremony on 30th March.
One+all Chair, Donald Moore, was named winner in the Greater Manchester City Region Leader category. He has led the employee-owned Stockport firm in its mission to make a difference for people and the planet with really great schoolwear, which in recent years has seen the business achieve B Corporation status, PlanetMark and Carbon Neutral certifications for sustainability, and become a Living Wage accredited employer and member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.
Stockport was also represented at the 2023 Northern Leadership Awards by Steve Oliver, CEO of musicMagpie and Chair of the Stockport Economic Alliance. Prior to the awards presentation, he discussed his thoughts on leadership with TheBusinessDesk.com North West editor, Michael Taylor, as well as speaking of his journey to leading an AIM listed firm.
The Overall Leader of the Year prize when to Professor Janet Hemigway, founder of the Infection Innovation Consortium (iiCON) in Liverpool.
