    A cruise in east Belfast for the Glens as they thumped the basement boys, who had Paul McElroy sent-off in the second half.

    Jay Donnelly bagged a hat-trick while Danny Purkis netted the other two to leave the Glens firmly in the hunt for an automatic European spot.

    At the other end of the table Portadown stay six points adrift at the bottom with just five games left.

    A Jay Donnelly hat-trick and two goals from Danny Purkis secure all three points for the Glens, who are now nine points off leaders Larne heading into the split.

    Luke Wilson did score for the visitors, with Paul McElroy also being shown a red card for the Ports midway through the second half.

    Comfortable afternoon for the Glens.

    Danny Purkis grabs his second of the afternoon after cutting in from the left, before wrongfooting the Portadown 'keeper and slotting the ball home into the bottom left-hand corner.

    Both Purkis and Donnelly are now on a hat-trick.
