Angela paid a visit to the Breaking the Waves team to see the progress being made at their new premises.

The Failsworth foodbank supports hundreds of local families with food parcels but is restricted in the support it can offer due to the limited space on offer at their current base.

The team secured new premises which are much bigger but there were many problems that needed sorting before they can make the move.

Angela enlisted the help of National Gas who agreed to fund the necessary work with help from Erith Asbestos Removal, Sall Electrical and Life Environmental.

She said: “Breaking the Waves do some incredible work in the community but they were being held back by their premises and I know how frustrated they were. I’m delighted that National Gas were so willing to help and it won’t be long before the team can move into their new place and be able to offer support to even more people.”
