KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 — Local singer and actress Ayda Jebat has helped out a Twitter user from her footwear predicament.

This was after the Twitter user @kekna — known as Kekna — bought a pair of Skechers shoes in hopes of having more comfortable footwear as she had just recovered from a broken leg.

However, her hopes were diminished as all she received were blisters at the back of her heel.

Kekna also shared that she had used up all her money just to buy the shoes.

The thread caught the attention of Ayda who’s also the local brand ambassador for Skechers.

She then decided to help out Kekna by buying the shoes from her at the original selling price as she felt sorry for the Twitter user.

Talking to portal Gempak, Ayda said she’s willing to buy the shoes with the initial pricing so that Kekna can buy a new pair that fits her.

“When I saw the thread circulating on Twitter, I felt sorry for her. Because she said she had just bought the shoes and she doesn’t have enough money to buy a new pair.

“As a Skechers user, I felt guilty seeing people getting uncomfortable and even hurt themselves by wearing the shoes. Maybe her feet are not compatible with the design or it’s because of the way she wore it or the sizing.

“So, after buying the shoes from her, I hope that she can buy a new pair, doesn’t matter whether it’s a different brand or from the same one, as long as it’s comfortable for her. I can give away the used shoes to someone else,” Ayda said.

Ayda’s quoted tweet has been viewed over 2.8 million times on Twitter and has garnered over 5,000 likes with over 1,000 retweets.

Other Twitter users were also seen applauding Ayda for doing her job as the brand ambassador in the comments section.
