Having secured their place in the UEFA Champions League after winning their seventh UEFA Europa League, Sevilla go into the game in eleventh place in the league table with 49 points. With 68 points and having also secured their place in next season's top continental competition, Real Sociedad go into the final game of the season in fourth place.

Past meetings

In their last three visits to San Sebastian, the Nervión side have not tasted defeat. In the penultimate LaLiga fixture of the 2019/20 season, the two sides shared the points in a goalless draw. A season later, Sevilla FC managed to overcome Carlos Fernández's early goal in two minutes thanks to goals from Fernando and En-Nesyri. In the 2021/22 season, another goalless game sealed a draw in the Basque Country.

Squads

For the final trip of the season, Tecatito Corona and Pape Gueye are back in the squad for José Luis Mendilibar, who will be without the suspended Acuña, as well as Marcao, Joan Jordán, Rekik and Fernando. For the visitors, the injured Silva and Sadiq join Elustondo on the list of absentees in Imanol Alguacil's squad.
