Justify my confidence in you – Niger Gov swears in SSG, HOS, COS, others

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has sworn in new political appointees with the charge to work hard and justify the confidence reposed in them.

The governor stated this shortly after being sworn into their various offices by the chief justice of the state, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, represented by Justice Hassana Bawa Wuse at government house Minna.

They include the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Abubakar Usman Gawu, Abubakar Salisu as HOS, Usman Abdullahi Batamangi Chief of Staff, COS, Sadiq Yusuf, Deputy COS and Bello Ibrahim as Deputy COS to the Deputy Governor respectively

He explained that the appointees were personally selected to head their offices based on integrity, courage and ability to deliver for the growth and development of the state.

Bago also disclosed that the next appointees in line to be sworn in will be females to ensure equity and fairness in the state.

He said, “I want to congratulate the new grooms to my administration and congratulations in advance to the new brides. In tandem with our campaign promises, I want to say my administration is for the youth”.

Bago further reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure communities being ravaged by the insecurity are freed, noting that ”activities of bandits will soon be a thing of the past”.

Responding on behalf of other appointees, the new SSG, Abubakar Usman Gawu pledged their commitment, loyalty and full support to ensure the success of the administration in achieving its set objectives.

He thanked the governor for the trust and confidence reposed in them and called for prayers and support for the government.
