Kim Tate (Claire King) shocked Caleb Milligan (William Ash) in Wednesday’s (June 7) episode of Emmerdale as she told him that Holly Barton’s field is going to be part of the deal they’ve made with Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb).

Holly is Moira’s daughter. When the family moved into Butlers Farm, it wasn’t long before Holly revealed to her family, she’d been experimenting with drug use.

After years of trying to get clean and also relapsing, Holly died in 2016 after taking heroin.

Last year, after Suzy Merton’s (Martelle Edinborough) arrival, it was revealed that she was the person who gave Holly the drugs which led to her death.

Kim was putting the finishing touches to her plan to buy Butlers this week after Caleb’s sabotaging made Moira decide to sell up.

Moira and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) have been busy tidying up the farm and cleaning the last of the equipment, feeling as though they had no choice but to accept Kim’s deal.

In tonight’s opening scenes, Kim returned to Home Farm on her horse after seeing Cain and Moira.

Caleb approached her and made a comment about posh people riding horses, and then listened in as Kim made her request.

Kim asked Caleb to tell Cain and Moira that the field where Holly is buried would be part of the purchase.

His face dropped and knew that Moira wouldn’t hand it over, but a comment from Kim about not understanding her left him with no choice.

He met up with his brother and continued the façade, making out that the plan wouldn’t go ahead if Kim didn’t get the land.

Initially, Cain told Caleb that Kim was out of her mind to suggest such a thing. He walked away, paused and then, to our surprise, he changed his mind.

Cain said that Moira’s tired of fighting and will give Kim the land, leaving Caleb surprised that he didn’t bother to consult his wife first.

Up Next

This appears to be all part of Kim’s revenge as later; it became apparent that she’s known about Caleb’s plot to steal her money for absolutely ages.

Did Kim deliberately mention Holly’s field just to see how far Caleb would be prepared to go?

This question – among others – will no doubt be answered in tomorrow’s episode, when Caleb is more than likely left with no choice but to reveal all on why he wanted to steal everything of Kim’s.
