NPFL Playoffs: Sunshine hold Remo Stars

Sunshine Stars came back from a goal down to hold Remo Stars to a 1-1 draw in their Nigeria Premier League playoffs tie at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday night.

Both teams are yet to record a win in the competition and now need to win their remaining two games to have a chance of lifting the title.

Remo Stars took the lead in 11 minutes with Samuel Anakwe flicking home a cross from Sodiq Ismail.

No goal was recorded again in the first half, despite both teams creating scoring opportunities.

Emmanuel Gyang leveled scores for Sunshine Stars two minutes after the break.

Remo Stars have garnered three points from three games.

The Sky Blue Stars will take on Lobi Stars in their next game on Friday.

Sunshine Stars have recorded two points from same number of matches.

The Owena Waves next game is against eight-time champions, Enyimba.
