Angela joined staff and residents at Daisy Nook House Care Home to celebrate Care Home Open Week 2023.

Residents, their families and staff enjoyed spending time with Angela and chatting to her about what life is like at Daisy Nook House. Angela also joined in with the Mad Hatter’s themed tea party.

Angela said: “Before I got into politics, I worked as a home help so the care profession and those that work within it will always be close to my heart. It was lovely to visit Daisy Nook House and meet the amazing team who look after the residents. It’s clear to see that the staff love their jobs and take real pride in their work. Taking part in the fancy dress competition was a welcome break from the world of politics. I would like to thank everyone at Daisy Nook House for making me feel so welcome.”

Wayne Jones, Home Manager at Daisy Nook House Care Home, added: “We were delighted to welcome MP Angela Rayner to our home and open the doors of Daisy Nook House again to welcome in our local community and bring everyone together to celebrate Care Home Open Week 2023. Everyone had an amazing time.
