Elon Musk a ‘bully’ for threatening to turn up at Mark Zuckerberg’s house, ONE Championship CEO Chatri says

  • Martial arts organisation’s chairman blasts Twitter chief Musk, and says he ‘genuinely knows nothing about fighting or martial arts’
  • ‘Mark has the gas tank for three rounds and Elon for three minutes,’ Chatri says, after offering to host the battle of the billionaires

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong has blasted Elon Musk as a “bully” for threatening to turn up to Mark Zuckerberg’s house and challenge him to a fight.

The two tech billionaires have recently been going back and forth on social media trying to agree terms and stipulations for a showdown.

Tesla and Twitter CEO Musk said last week he had spoken to Italian authorities about staging their fight at the Colosseum in Rome.

But Meta chief Zuckerberg insisted that he would only agree to compete in the UFC or martial arts organisation ONE – with Chatri offering them a platform to settle their dispute in the cage.

But on Monday night, Musk insinuated he would simply knock on Zuckerberg’s door at his home in Palo Alto.

“Knock, knock,” Musk wrote in a series of posts on his social media platform Twitter – which he recently renamed “X” – tagging Zuckerberg’s handle. “Challenge accepted, open the door. Thought you might want some tea, so I brought the bags.

“For the Tesla FSD test drive in Palo Alto [on Monday night], I will ask the car to drive to [Zuckerberg’s] house. Will also test latest X livestream video, so you can monitor our adventure in real-time! If we get lucky and Zuck actually answers the door, the fight is on!

“[Zuck thread coming soon about how he would of course love to fight anytime, but blah blah UFC something something].”

That did not sit well with ONE chairman Chatri, who told the Post he “can’t stand bullies” following a scathing social media post of his own.

“I normally don’t like to get involved in other people’s spats, but I am compelled to say something on the latest development of the potential fight between Mark Zuckerberg versus Elon Musk,” Chatri wrote on Facebook on Tuesday morning.

“A few hours ago, Elon said that he was planning to show up to Mark’s house to fight him. Elon is one of the greatest entrepreneurs in history and I have a lot of respect for his guts, accomplishments, and intellect. However, I dislike bullying of any kind.

Zuck wants Musk fight in ONE Championship, CEO Chatri makes offer

“Elon genuinely knows nothing about fighting or martial arts. As a lifelong martial artist who has been in my fair share of scraps, I can tell simply by the way he is acting.

“The problem with most men who have never fought or trained seriously in martial arts is exactly what Elon is doing.

“They have a false sense of bravado and no understanding or appreciation for what technical skills and knowledge can do in a fight.”

Chatri, who trained with Zuckerberg in April at his home in Lake Tahoe, insisted Musk has been “making up puzzling excuses” for avoiding the fight, including undergoing surgery.

“Mark will likely choke Elon unconscious in a fight,” he added. “Elon could win by a lucky punch due to his size and weight. He’s 1.86m and weighs 100kg. Mark is 1.71m and weighs 70kg.

“However, Mark is in fighting shape and Elon is not. Mark has the gas tank for three rounds and Elon has the gas tank for three minutes.

“As all martial artists know, skill often trumps size when there is a large disparity in skill.

“I am not saying that Mark will win 100 per cent. A fight is a fight. Elon could get lucky. What I am saying though is that Mark has a very high probability of winning.”
