Marrakech, Morocco - The Super Eagles interim coach, Finidi George has released the line-up for today’s game against the Black Stars of Ghana.

The friendly match will be played at Stade de Marrakech, Morocco on Friday, March 22.

Wilfred Ndidi returned to the team as Super Eagles captain after missing the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2023 in Ivory Coast due to injury.

Stanley Nwabali remains in goal while the back four is made up of Osayi, Benjamin Tanimu, Ajayi and Awaziem.

Onyeka, Iwobi and Onyemaechi complete the midfield while the attack has Iheanacho and Dessers.

Legit.ng recalls that George said the response has been good, with some of the players resuming training at the team camp ahead of the friendly matches between Ghana and Mali.

He explained that the players at the camp were not doing intensive training anymore because they were still waiting for others to join the team.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will return to the field for the first time since the end of the 2023 AFCON, where they lost to the host Ivory Coast.

The Super Eagles will play against Ghana and Mali in Marrakech, Morocco, on March 22 and 26, respectively. The features were said to be the final international friendly window ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying series.

While 26 players have been selected for the fixtures by the Nigeria Football Federation, the Super Eagles team were said to have been hit with injuries. No less than four players will not be part of the features.
