NFL Draft News: Watch LSU's Jayden Daniels Pull Off Two Ridiculous Throws During Pro Day

The 2024 NFL Draft is a month away, but many colleges have already been showcasing their young talent via Pro Day events. The latest is LSU, which boasts two players who are slated to be selected in the top 10.

One player is wide receiver Malik Nabers. Nabers is a speedy receiver who has been attached to teams like the Los Angeles Chargers (who possess the #5 overall pick) and Arizona Cardinals (#4 overall pick). Nabers ended the 2023 season with 1,569 yards and 14 TDs.

The other highly-rated LSU prospect is quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels has been the talk of the draft, along with USC's Caleb Williams and NCU's Drake Maye. Daniels is expected to either go #2 overall to the Washington Commanders or #3 to the New England Patriots.

While the Patriots and Commanders could be deciding who will be their franchise QB, Daniels' performance at LSU's Pro Day might sway their opinion.

Daniels is shown bombing the ball down the field to the aforementioned Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr. — both of whom catch the deep shots with ease. What makes these throws even more impressive is that Daniels shows little to no effort to sling the ball as far as he did.

Many analysts believe that Williams is the top QB prospect in this draft, but it's hard to ignore the innate ability that Daniels has throwing the ball. Daniels is also a similar dual-threat QB to Williams, but he is also one of the purest passers heading into the NFL Draft.

Daniels has secured over 2,300 passing yards in four out of his five years in college. His 2023 season was his most successful, as Daniels secured 3,812 yards, 40 TDs, and 1,134 rushing yards.

While Williams was up for a back-to-back Heisman Trophy nod, Daniels ultimately won after having a monster year at LSU. The young QB should do wonders for either the Commanders or the Patriots.

The Commanders might be the favorite to land Daniels simply because of their #2 overall pick status, but also because the LSU signal caller could turn their offense into something dangerous.

The Commanders have wide receivers Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Jamison Crowder available to catch passes from Daniels. The team also recently signed former Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, who is a running back and excellent pass catcher.

Daniels could combine with Ekeler to create some designed runs that will confuse defenses plenty. Judging from the above video, Daniels should be the pick.
