Officials are renewing a call for information from the public three years after a 19-year-old was murdered in Cambridge.

Xavier Louis-Jaxques, 19, was found shot March 27, 2021, in the area of Pemberton Street, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said in a press release Wednesday. Louis-Jaxques was treated on scene and taken to Mount Auburn Hospital, where he later died.

Two people who were driving in the area of Pemberton Street called 911 after finding Louis-Jaxques unresponsive. He was found near the Rindge baseball field and the Pemberton Street basketball courts near his vehicle, a white Lexus sedan, police said.

“He was under a streetlight that was on at the time,” the release said. “The vehicle was locked, and Louis-Jacques still had his phone and keys with him.”

The investigation into the case remains ongoing, police said.
