Real Madrid Target Alphonso Davies’ Agent Attacks Bayern Munich

Following

The agent of Real Madrid target Alphonso Davies criticized the left back's current club Bayern Munich in comments made to BILD and relayed by Fabrizio Romano.

Davies has a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid either this summer or next according to The Athletic.

In recent weeks, however, the Bavarians have put pressure on Davies' camp to renew a deal that expires on June 30, 2025.

Over at MARCA, they say that the Bundesliga giants have told Davies to commit his future to them immediately or be sold in the next transfer window.

Nedal Huoseh, who has represented the Canadian since he was 15, doesn't appreciate this for one and told BILD: "It’s unfair to receive an ultimatum from Bayern."

"We will decide how to proceed at the end of the season when there is more clarity. It's unfair that Alphonso is now being attacked," Huoseh added to the German publication.

Huoseh explained that the two parties were close to an agreement for Davies to extend "a year ago".

"Then the entire club management was replaced. We didn't hear anything for seven months, although I tried during this time to contact the club myself”.

"Now we are being given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and took a long time to reposition itself in the management? That's not fair," Huoseh protested.

The representative said that Davies' next contract is a "very important" one in the 23-year-old's career.

With that in mind, he doesn't like that "we're supposed to make the decision without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like", in a nod to no successor currently being lined up for the outgoing Thomas Tuchel.

"That's why we think it's unfair to react to the ultimatum," Huoseh concluded.

These developments and an apparent disharmony between Davies and his employers bodes well for Madrid in the long run.

If the player is unhappy and feels pressured into accepting a renewal while not convinced of the sporting project, or lack thereof, at the Allianz Arena, this could ultimately force Bayern to head to the negotiation table with Los Blancos and accept a reduced fee for Davies as opposed to losing him for nothing 15 months down the line.
