Katie Boulter says that Emma Raducanu will be welcomed with wide arms upon her return to the Great Britain Billie Jean King Cup team.

Two years after making her debut against the Czech Republic, this week in France, Raducanu will compete in just her second tie for her nation. Raducanu’s injuries have kept her out of the previous links, and she stated at the Australian Open that she will put her health first this year while deciding whether to compete.

However, Raducanu will play in Le Portel alongside Boulter, Harriet Dart, Heather Watson, and debutante Francesca Jones because the tie will take place on indoor clay, the same surface used for her next WTA tournament in Stuttgart next week.

Boulter said in a recent interview: “I’m very pleased. We’ve missed her. We love having her back. The number one thing is that she’s healthy. I’ve always said it for myself and it’s my biggest wish for her as well is that she can stay as healthy as possible. We’re going to be welcoming her with open arms for sure.”
