Mountaineers Split Weekend in California and Pennsylvania

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The West Virginia University track and field team will send split squads to the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 12-13, and the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 13-14.

Friday marks the first and final trip to California for the Mountaineers, as the Bryan Clay Invitational will be held at the Cougar Athletic Stadium in Azusa. The meet is slated to start at 7:25 p.m. ET, for West Virginia with the women's 800-meter invitational on Friday.

West Virginia is set to compete in the women's 800 meters on Friday, followed by the 400 meters and the 1,500-meter run on Saturday in Azusa.

On Saturday, the Bison Outdoor Classic will take place at the Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, which kicks off at 2 p.m., on Saturday for West Virginia with the women's high jump.

The Mountaineers will compete in the women's high jump, the 1,500 meters and the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Saturday in Lewisburg. Then, West Virginia is set for the mile, 800 meter invitational, 400 meter hurdles, the 400 meters and 100 meter dash on Sunday.

Last time out, West Virginia competed at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on April 5-6, in Fairfax, Virginia. Redshirt freshman Annishka McDonald highlighted the field with a second-place finish in the women's high jump at the 1.68-meter mark. On the track, redshirt sophomore Emily Bryce slated a sixth-place finish in the women's 1,500 meters with a time of 4:36.61.
