Again, Nigerian referees missing as FIFA picks officials for Paris Olympics

Nigerian football has again received another major knock as World Football governing body (FIFA), yesterday, announced the appointment of match officials for football events at the 2024 Olympic Games with Nigerian referees missed out.

Nigerian football has again received another major knock as World Football governing body (FIFA), yesterday, announced the appointment of match officials for football events at the 2024 Olympic Games with Nigerian referees missed out.

Twelve match officials were listed by FIFA from Africa, with none from Nigeria making the cut.The African referees for the tournament include, Beida Dahane from Mauritania, Ismail Mahmood Ali from Sudan, and Karboubi Bouchra from Morocco.

Assistant referees from Africa include, Ahmed Liban Abdoulrazack from Djibouti, Chikotesha Diana from Zambia, Jermouni Fatiha from Morocco, Noupue Elvis from Cameroun, Santos Jerson Emiliano Dos from Angola, and Yiembe Stephen from Kenya.

Ashour Mahmoud from Egypt and Benbraham Lahlou from Algeria were selected for the video match officials category.Additionally, Nabadda Shamirah from Uganda will provide support as one of the match officials.
