Kiki Jefferson Selected by Minnesota in the 2024 WNBA Draft

April 15, 2024 | Women's Basketball

She is the 15th selection in the draft during Jeff Walz’s tenure

NEW YORK — University of Louisville graduate guard Kiki Jefferson was selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the third round of the 2024 WNBA Draft. She is the 15th Louisville selection under head coach Jeff Walz and the 17th all-time selection in program history.

Jefferson is the second Louisville player all-time to be drafted by the Minnesota Lynx. Back in 2014, Minnesota selected Asia Taylor, one of three Cardinals selected in that draft (Shoni Schimmel, Antonita Slaughter).

Jefferson played all 34 games and made 32 starts for the Cardinals this season. She was named to the ACC Newcomer List and Cheryl Miller Award Watch List prior to the season. She led the Cardinals in scoring with 12.3 points per game, second with 1.1 steals and 2.2 assists per game and third with 4.5 rebounds per game. Jefferson led the team with 23 double-digit scoring games this season and scored a season-high 27 points in the win over Boston College.

She was named to the Chancellor Classic All-Tournament team after the Cardinals defeated Gonzaga to win the tournament. She was also named to the Cheryl Miller Award Top 10 List during the season and All-ACC second team following the regular season. In the road win over Miami, Jefferson eclipsed 2,000 points for her career.
