Arsenal fans fume at Gabriel Martinelli as ‘terrible’ stats emerge v Bayern Munich – ‘Sell’

Arsenal fans are fuming with Gabriel Martinelli after his “terrible” performance against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night (17 April).

The Gunners crashed out of the Champions League after losing 3-2 on aggregate to the German giants at the Allianz Arena.

Joshua Kimmich bagged a headed goal for Bayern in the 63rd minute to ensure a 1-0 win on the night and their progression to the semi-finals of the competition, but Arsenal supporters were outraged with Martinelli’s contribution to the clash.

The Brazilian started the crucial showdown against Munich but offered very little in attack and was constantly nullified by Thomas Tuchel’s man.

He was hauled off by manager Mikel Arteta in the 68th minute, but not before he managed just one shot on target, 15 passes, a 33 per cent ground duel success rate and only one successful dribble.

Fans were frustrated as he had multiple chances to bag the opener for the London giants but squandered his opportunities.

Supporters have taken to social media to slaughter his “nonsense” display, and some are adamant that they need to sell the winger this summer.
