Shopper sparks outrage after ‘paying $7 for a single apple:’ ‘What economy are we all f–king living in?’

An apple a day keeps the doctor away — but at this point medical bills might be cheaper.

A Boston-based influencer has sparked outrage over inflation after claiming she paid $7 for a single apple at a Whole Foods.

The woman, who goes by the username @via..li, posted a video about her pricey purchase to her page, which has since been re-shared on various social media platforms.

The clip has now been deleted from the shopper’s own account, but it showed her pulling out the apple from a bag after departing an unidentified Whole Foods store.

“Literally just did grocery shopping at Whole Foods and look at this,” she raged. “Guess how much this is. This is an apple, it’s called a Sugarbee f–king apple apparently and look at it.”

“The size of my palm. I thought it was like probably 2 to 3 dollars. I scanned this motherf–ker I scanned it — 7 f–king dollars, 7!”

The Whole Foods website lists the Organic Sugarbee Apple at $3.99 per pound in most Boston zip codes, although prices may vary at various outlets.

The Post has contacted the company for comment.

In the clip, the TikTokker insisted the apple was $7, and said she even checked with a store employee to check the price.

“Genuinely what economy are we all f–king living in that it costs 7 dollars to buy an apple?” she asked. “I could have sworn that some other like apple that I bought was not 7 f–king dollars. It’s crazy, like 7 dollars for a latte? OK. This apple better be tasting so f–king good.”

Many viewers were outraged by price paid for the produce, with one writing: “Even more insane when you realize that’s almost an entire hour of labor for some people even in the US. Imagine working an entire hour in exchange for 1 apple…”

“7 dollars for anything that grows on trees is wild,” another declared.

However, one wondered whether the TikTokker’s tale was legitimate.

“They are 3.99 a pound,” one stated. “On average a pound will give you 2-3 apples. Maybe her anxiety was leaning on the scale.”

Others roasted the shopper for still paying for the fruit, saying she should’ve left it in the store.

“Shop at Walmart instead,” one unsympathetic commenter snarked.

“Jokes on her… she checked the price and still bought it,” another said.
