Edo NNPP Gov candidate Azena pledges civil service reforms

The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)  in Edo State Azemhe Azena has promised to reform the civil service to ensure efficient service delivery.

Azena, during a meeting with Azena Forerunners Caucus, said his administration would block leakages and ensure value for money spent on the delivery of projects and services.

He said: “We will Keep the government right-sized, block leakages and ensure value for money spent on the delivery of projects and services.

“Reform, empower and reposition the state civil service and all government agencies and departments to deliver efficient services to every citizen will be paramount to our administration.

“I will work cooperatively with the legislature and the judiciary to advance the interest and progress of Edo State and ensure laws back all government actions, driven by public policies and the collective interest of citizens.”

Azena promised a transparent governance to allow citizens of the State to relate with the government directly and mobilise people and resources to advance their collective security, progress and wellbeing.

According to him, his government will prioritise the state interest by running an accountable and all inclusive administration whereby all citizens will have a say in the day-to-day running of the government.

He added that it was the duty of any government to be responsible and responsive to the people, saying he was ready to unleash good governance in serving the people of Edo state far different from and devoid of the nonchalance of the past.
