Chunky Panday opens up about Ananya Panday’s relationship with Aditya Roy Kapur: ‘She’s earning more money than I did, she’s free to do what she wants’

Bollywood actor Chunky Panday, who is one of the prominent actors of the 90s era in Hindi cinema, has recently discussed his daughter Ananya Panday's romance with Aditya Roy Kapur in an interview. Chunky stated that he accepts her decisions and doesn’t dare to take control of his 25-year-old daughter. He praised Ananya for forging her own career in Bollywood without assistance from anyone else.
During an interview with Lehren, Chunky was questioned on Ananya's relationship and how frequently she brings up Aditya in interviews.The actor said, “I mean it’s fine. I think she is 25, she is earning more money than I did. She is free to do what she wants. How dare I tell my 25 year old daughter what to do.” The actor talked candidly about Ananya doing intimate scenes in films and said, “Yes I am fine with it. I have seen it in Hollywood. There is no harm. You have to accept it.”
Chunky also revealed that both his daughters are really close to Bhavana and whenever they need something then he gets a call from them. But otherwise they are very close to their mother. The actor said he is always there whenever his daughters need any advice. He further added that because he is old school, there are disagreements when it comes to ideas on films and projects.
The actor was all praises for Ananya and said that for him the proudest moment was when she bagged her first film. He said, “I think they found her a little very young the first time, then she went for the audition and she got the film. She also got into New York and LA colleges, there was pressure on family. I kept her college admission for 6 months, I paid some $500 dollars and kept it, because who knows, it might not have worked out. So that was a proud moment, she got that film on her own.”
On the work front, Ananya was last seen in the film ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. She will be next seen in the OTT web series ‘Call Me Bae’. She also has a film backed by Karan Johar based on life of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and former President of the Indian National Congress, who fought for the victims of Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
