ASTERRA has introduced a new application programming interface (API), which expands the capabilities of SAR analytics by enabling collaboration with partners. This marks ASTERRA as the sole commercial provider of L-band SAR analytics technology with an open API for integration with Earth observation and GIS partners, thereby enhancing the overall solution.

"ASTERRA insights are now accessible for collaboration with Earth observation partners," stated Elly Perets, chief executive officer of ASTERRA. "We recognize the immense value of an open platform and the importance of partnering with other companies to enhance the utility for users across various sectors. Our API fosters an environment that supports seamless integration with numerous applications, benefiting a wide array of markets."

Unique in its offering, the ASTERRA API provides processed insights rather than raw data, facilitating easier integration with other Earth observation systems. It represents a novel approach in L-band SAR-based solutions.

The API is set to debut on multiple marketplaces, connecting satellite operators, data suppliers, and a diverse user base including researchers, government entities, and businesses, thereby broadening access to commercial L-band SAR analytics.

The development of the ASTERRA API, part of the company's comprehensive SaaS solutions, involved collaboration with numerous Earth observation and GIS-based partners. This ongoing partnership continues to evolve, with the API also scheduled to be highlighted at the upcoming USGIF GEOINT conference in Denver.
