Ihezuo’s brace lifts Pachuca against Guadalajara Chivas
Super Falcons attacker Chinwendu Ihezuo bagged a double for her Mexican club as Pachuca claimed a 3-0 win against Guadalajara Chivas in the league.
The former Flamingos and Falconets striker thus continued her impressive form with Pachuca in the Mexican topflight league after her impressive showing for the Super Falcons in both legs of the Olympics final qualifiers against Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
Ihezuo played an important part in the Falcons’ return to the Olympics for the first time in 16 years following her explosive performance for Nigeria in both legs against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

Back in the Mexican women’s league, she opened the scoring for Pachuca in the 24th minute at the Estadio Miguel Hidalgo, Pachuca before Veronica Corral extended the lead for the hosts from the penalty spot in the 39th minute. Ihezuo completed the rout with the third goal in the stoppage time.
The ex- Pelican Stars attacker was replaced by Destinee Noel Manzo Paolinetti in the 92nd minute after she got her 10th goal of the season from 14 appearances.
Pachuca also featured Ihezuo’s compatriot Osinachi Ohale for the entire duration of the match.
Pachuca are second position on the league table with 35 points from 14 games, level with Monterrey and two points behind leaders UANL Tigres.
Their next fixture will be against Club Tijuana on Friday, in another league encounter.
