It’s wrong that we train doctors and they leave the UK to other countries while we import doctors from poor African countries — British TV host, Nigel Farage, laments (video)

He said something about them importing doctors from poor african countries that need those doctors more. When the FG proposed a method to keep Nigerian doctors behind to at least, serve their nation before going off, those same doctors kicked against it. Now, Nigel is proposing the same thing to the british government for their own home-trained doctors. And it's ironic that he is talking to a british man of Nigerian descent, meaning they don't care your origin. As long as you have a british passport, you are british.

I have never understood how doctors that can't even take proper care of their patients in Nigeria can do same in the UK. I guess the money is the motivation to do better over there.

To be honest, I won't take moral lessons from Nigel Farage. He's making the same argument we could make for our naija trained doctors. After spending a lot of money to be trained here, then the western world recruit you for cheap (and I mean that! If you compare how much doctors are trained for abroad - he mentioned the figure - do the maths). Those countries are the winners here not even the naija doctors. And Nigel is canvassing for "compulsion" ...would you support the same for our locally trained practitioners? I think a senator tried to say that FG should make it compulsory for our Docs to serve for at least 10 years before japa, we're all against it of course

Well leave these poor African countries alone and stop interfering in their elections , stop installing your puppets like the drug lord in the name of democracy , stop sanctioning them in the name of human rights violation , stop dumping your useless goods in their market , stop buying of the mining rights to the natural resources found there , stop blackmailing their elected officials, stop allowing the looted funds into your banks , look how that yoruba man did not counter him first when he spewed those rubbish from his gutter mouth . He was just they laughing like an ewu. Not all Africans have interest in living in the UK or Canada or any white man's country , I rather be a farmer in Nigeria than go to the UK that 99 percent of my salary will be gone after taxes and bills , only fools and people with low mentality relocate to a white man's country and call it an achievement .

You see.... it is unfair to train medical personnel including nurses with public fund and allow them to leave enmass to other countries after graduation. Nigerians condemned our government when restrictions are being made to stop doctors and nurses from leaving Nigeria. They should serve minimum of 10 years after graduation or refund their cost of training.

African professionals are struggling to migrate to UK while The UK professionals are also moving out. Life is not a bed of roses after all.

Let the law maker that are proposing this show patriotism first. You can’t destroy a nation with corruption and then turn around to demand patriotism from citizens who wants better life but can’t get it in their country due to the corruption of leaders

The smartest among them come to the United States. I see them all the time but most just go to Australia because they don't want to write board exams .
