What ‘sources in Holland’ are now saying about Arne Slot and Liverpool

Arne Slot looks as though he has a great chance of becoming Liverpool’s next manager.

The Feyenoord boss has even said himself that he wants the job, and he’s expecting a deal to be done.

However, as Liverpool fans have learned after the Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim sagas, there’s no gurantees in this game, especially when you’re trying to take another club’s manager.

Although, according to Melissa Reddy, speaking to Sky Sports, there’s a good chance that Slot does get the job.

Indeed, Reddy says that sources in the Netherlands are now saying that this process could move quickly due to Slot’s determination to get the job, while Feyenoord understand internally that they can’t block Slot from taking such a massive opportunity.

Feyenoord know they can’t stop Slot leaving

Reddy shared what she’s heard about Slot.

“Now yesterday Liverpool’s negotiation point was at £7.75m, the Dutch club want that closer to the £10m mark. We know that Slot really wants the Anfield job and while Feyenoord ideally want to keep him, they understand that they can’t block such a massive opportunity for him,” Reddy said.

“Their interest is getting the best possible deal for them. Sources in Holland are telling us that it could move very quickly because of Slot’s determination to get the job.

Arne Slot to Liverpool feels inevitable

There have been a number of rumours about who will replace Jurgen Klopp as the Liverpool manager, but none have been as advanced as this.

Indeed, Slot to Liverpool now feels almost inevitable, and when a manager is talking openly about taking another job, you know that a deal must be close.

There are still a few issues in the negotiations to iron out, but, by the sounds of it, it may not be long before Liverpool announce Slot as their new gaffer.
