Junior Pope’s mother believes her son was murdered - AGN president

Junior Pope?s mother believes her son was murdered - AGN president

Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria has said that the mother of late actor, Junior Pope, believes her son was murdered.

Emeka Rollas in a recent interview, talked about Junior Pope’s Cameroonian mother’s surprise that her son drowned. The AGN President further revealed that CPR was conducted on Junior Pope after he was brought out of the water after four hours, but he didn't make it.

He said;

“I was with his mother yesterday, and all the rumours online are making her feel that her son was killed. I had to let her know that I was also supposed to be in the boat.

“Anybody that said they didn’t perform CPR on Jnr Pope is a liar. He was brought out dead after spending over 4 hours under the water.”

Here we go again, I know she's heartbroken and I feel for her, but the lack of due care and attention plus the absence of lifejackets on those that tragically lost their lives were the major contributing facts to the tragedy..

I am a doctor. A man can go 3 minutes without Air, 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food. When in survical mode your first survival instinct is air, next is water and least is food. When underwater most people who can't swim go in and out gasping for air while simultaneously taking water into their lungs. Swallowing water is fine. Inhaling it through your nose is the killer. It causes a choking reflex aggravated by panic. Water fill up space in your lungs meant for air (that's how you know someone who drowned verses someone thrown in the water after dieing). Anyway as water fill your lungs your capacity to breath decreases fast all this while you still attempt to reach out for air until you start losing consciousness slowly using after two minutes of being in this state. By the time you start losing consciousness you are disoriented about where you are and while still realising you are in trouble. This period last for a few seconds knowing in drowning as the surrender. If you are not rescued at this point death is inevitable. This period from when you start drowning to period of losing consciousness lasts a maximum 4 minutes depending on individual lung capacity or ability to resurface intermittently. After the point of surrender the time clock is almost the same for everyone. Maximum 3 minutes. At this point the lungs is fully filled with water, brain is shutting down from lack of oxygenated blood sent from the lungs and inability to send voltage to the heart. After a few seconds to maximum 3 minutes your heart completely stops. After your heart stops you have another 3 minutes window to revive it, if you are rescued at this stage and water is pressed out of your heart and cpr is done to restart your heart you may be revived depending on how brain dead you are. So in all the initial 4 minutes of struggle, 3 minutes of surrender stage and death, 3 minutes of any chance of revival. From the moment someone is drowning they have 4 minutes to be rescued before a certain death. This gentle soul was in the water for 4 hours. I know from the first report that those saying he had a pulse, was alive, cpr etc we just inaccurate. While it is standard to do cpr on any suspected fresh drowning his case was a lost case. While a negligence charge can be brought against the operators for not providing safety it will be a more investigative case proving intent but definitely negligence and man slaughter charges can be filed. @Drluoo.

We cannot discountenance a mother's instinct. The AGN boss said he had spent over 4 hours in the water and was brought out dead. Which doctor certified him so? If they believed he was dead, why did they take him to a babalawo to pump smoke into his nostrils and use chicken to run around his head to force him to breathe? The AGN president was allegedly present. It was the babalawo who eventually asked that they take him to the hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead. The AGN boss was present when videos of the actor's corpse were made and released. He was also captured in the videos. Assuming the actor died immediately he was brought out of the water, everyone who fiddled with his body, including the AGN boss, committed a crime. The least they owe the actor is to go to the police and ask to be jailed.

I join the mother to suspect same too... Adamma said he was holding unto a plastic container while inside he water, what happened afterwards? TC VIRUS, both boat drivers has questions to answer - they dragged him into the water and killed him, that's why he has tattered clothes, he didn't fight with a shark nor a crocodile.

Well, that could be true, literally. If someone who was drowning held on tightly to him, they would both drown no matter how well JP could swim. Sadly, he’s not here to say what happened.

4hrs under water !!! you need to be just 5 mins under Water to die from Drowning. So basically he was brought out dead . All those who did CPR on him actually committed battery and assault on the dead. A Sueable offence. Also please can I correct one misoner among Ignorant Nigerian mediocre dangerous medics . PLEASE YOU DO NOT START CPR ( chest Compressions ) first in cases of Drowning. YOU START WITH RESCUE BREATHS as the Cause of death with Drowning is Asphyxiation rather than Cardiac Arrest.

Mr AGN president please you guys should stop all these negative narratives and clot chasing . It was you we told us that JP was not dead and in the hospital recovering. Now, you’re here again with brought in dead stories. Which one do we believe. I think you all should leave this family alone , please no more nonsense post . Let the family be and let JP rest biko . Think about the mental state of his wife and kids .

I concur with the mother. They murdered JP. .These questions need to answer: 1.JP wasn't in the same boat with them 2.Why was his clothes torn 3.And why did blood coming out of his nostril(Drowned person) A lots don't just correlate about his death. So many versions of the story about his Dead...
