Nigerian Forward Scores Seven Goals In Arsenal’s U-18s 9-0 Win At Norwich

Danish-born Nigerian young forward Chidozie Martin-Obi scored seven goals for Arsenal’s U-18s in their 9-0 win against Norwich on Saturday.

The 16-year-old netted a hat-trick in 17 minutes before adding two more goals, to end the first half of the U-18 Premier League game with five goals.

He then got on the score sheet two times in the second half.

Martin-Obi got his side to the perfect start when he scored under 60 seconds and doubled their lead in the 15th minute.

Just two minutes after getting his second goal, he got his hat-trick and Arsenal’s third on 17 minutes.

He then got the fourth and fifth goals in the 28th and 44th minutes respectively.

In the 54th minute Martin-Obi made it 6-0 and grabbed his seventh on 64 minutes to make it 7-0.

Also, he scored five goals against West Ham few weeks back.

Martin-Obi was born in Glostrup, a town located within Copenhagen in Denmark, to a Danish mother and Nigerian father.

From 2022 to 2023 he featured for Denmark’s U-16 and scored four goals in eight games

In 2023 he made two appearances for the England U-16 without scoring.

Also in 2023 he played for Denmark’s U-17 and bagged 10 goals in 14 games.

Martin-Obi is eligible to represent Denmark, England and Nigeria at international level.

    NFF should be working their socks off to cajole these guy to commit to Nigeria. He is highly rated at Arsenal and breaking goal scoring records set by players like Balogun and co. With a Nigerian Dad NFF can try their luck on convincing Chidozie.
